Printing and Scanning

Printing

Laser printing is available on a fee-for-print basis using the Uniprint system. A print account is needed to print to the following network printers:

• CSSSI_24hr; a black-and-white printer located near the large media wall
• CSSSI_StatLab_bw; a black-and-white printer located near the current periodicals section
• CSSSI_StatLab_color; a color printer located near the StatLab consultant's desk

All three printers are available from all CSSSI computers. If you would like to print from your own computer, see the ITS How-To Print from a Personal Computer page.

The ITS Print Account Management page allows you to add funds to your print account, review your transactions, and create a PrintID if you are a visitor.

Scanning

There are several ways to scan at the CSSSI. All of our scanners have resolutions at or greater than 1200dpi.

• Attached to a PC with full suite of software is a Canon Lide 70 with a maximum resolution of 2400dpi. (http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/windows_7/scanners/canoscan_series/canosca...)
• Attached to a Mac with a full suite of software, including Adobe Creative Suite and a Wacom Digital Pen-based Display is an Epson Perfection with maxium resolution of 3200dpi. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/consumer/consDetail.jsp?oid=27766185
• We also have a dedicated iVina BookScan Station for scanning Books (600dpi). http://avision.com/usa/products/fb6080e.html
• For scanning of film, microfiche, and slides we have an 600dpi microfiche scanning system as well.
