Keeping Up: RSS, Article Alerts, and More!

Do you know someone who always seems to know what is happening in their subfield and want to know their secret? Do you feel like it is increasingly difficult to keep up with new and exciting articles in your field? What about the scholarly communications on research blogs, announcements from the NSF, NIH, and NEH, and other items?

In this workshop, we will discuss RSS, article alerts, and other tools that will help you save time and streamline your information workflow. Our travels will take us into Feedly and Digg (RSS/web sites); Google Scholar, Web of Science, and other databases (article alerts); and the interesting and exciting world of research social media.
